Vintage Ice Cream Van. Slowly but surely,it was at this moment you think “Barney rubble, trouble” ♡

Slowly but surely ‘Florence’ was taken apart………it was at this moment you think  “Barney rubble…..trouble”.

I had to get serious……..oh no……..I had to start making some decisions……..colours, design, website, ice cream………..I wished I was ‘Worzel Gummidge’ I could just put on my smart head……..and ‘hey presto’.

The hours flew by………..my new venture was so important…………..a new beginning. I really have given my heart and soul to embrace Polly’s Parlour and most importantly ‘Florence’.

I grew up with Basil Brush, Sooty, Trumpton town, Pigeon street, Some mothers do have em,

the Flumps……..to name a few.

I was always going to come up with a vintage concept…………….I am a vintage girl.

I designed a tasteful neapolitan colour scheme to evoke the yummy feelings of Ice cream……brown, cream and pink………..and I loved the idea of candy stripes……….♡♡♡

………..it was like the moment Thomas Edison made the light bulb work………Eureka!

My days have been spent wading through forms, insurances,   ice cream suppliers, food & hygiene……..whilst in the background there were re runs of ‘Columbo’ or ‘Murder she Wrote’…..don’t you just love these old shows. I’ve always wanted to have a kitchen like Jessica Fletcher…..♡

A great local web developer came on board and armed with all our drawings and logo’s

we created an amazing website that we feel has captured the essence of Polly’s Parlour.

‘Florence’s’ restoration was a complete success…..’To climb steep hills requires a slow pace at first’ (Shakespeare)

I have never…….and I mean never……..been as emotional as when i first saw the stripes finished on  Florence….AMAZING!!!!!!.

The reaction from all our facebooker’s  was incredible and summed up exactly how we felt…….in fact all the support we have received from everyone has been wonderful & overwhelming…. thank~you all so much ♡♡♡
