Vintage Ice Cream Van. The yellow brick road ♡

We have been blown away with the attention ‘Florence’ has generated……I have put my heart & soul in to ‘Polly’s Vintage Ice Cream Parlour’…….I feel like Dorothy following the yellow brick road….tee~hee.

Ice cream…………….it’s so complicated………a real learning curve. The ice cream tasting was fantastic …..but when it comes to serving, you have to consider whether people are allergic to nuts, wheat, gluten or lactose intolerant…….and can the suppliers provide quality natural ingredients that are free from…….’oh my giddy aunt!’, in the end we decided upon Winstones ice creams who make their ice creams from organic milk and are free from….♡ ohhh and of course it tastes great too….

Its funny…….I’ve never scooped an Ice cream…..but I had an idea……a scooping bonanza at Hope Hospice in Oswestry…..free ice cream for the children and we get the much needed practice!……..the children won’t mind if its upside down and falling off (hopefully!!!)

‘Florence’ has been booked for so many weddings already……her quirky vintage curves work so well
with festival brides, outdoor themes, canvas tents, vintage chic  and for those who just love her. I’m glad I spent countless hours deciding on the candy~stripes and her neapolitan colours …..♡ Though at times it has been tough on this road, trying to organise everything so ‘Florence’ gets to her first event on time…

Last week we were invited to the opening of  www.pimhillbarn.co.uk  which was amazing….a simply stunning oak barn…..with doors big enough for ‘Florence’ to drive in to serve pud….ooooh cannot wait to serve yummy ice creams there.

We met the wonderful Charlie at Pimhill barn from  www.thenaturalweddingcompany.co.uk for whom we share the same ethos….♡

The inside pics are top secret at the mo…..but can’t wait to get scooping……not long now…..♡ just four weeks to go until our 1st event…..!!!
