Today I sit writing this blog reflecting on an amazing year……..
It is now December & the leaves have fallen ~ the woolly jumpers are on & Florence has had her final outings of 2014….. 
I now travel back to the beginning of April where our 2014 journey begins sitting in Florence on the beautiful dockside of Gloucester Quays ~ it had been a mild winter so we were very much looking forward to the year ahead, 
with many new adventures & events on the horizon along with an abundance of weddings!
I was very much looking forward to the Split Screen Van Club AGM somewhere I was very proud to show Florence off & serve terrific ice creams ~ not to mention the quality of the other VWs surrounding her. The very next day we were off to the Stanford Hall VW Show ~ the weather was outstanding & such a wonderful event….
During the later half of May the weather took a turn for the worse, we sat for 2 whole days in the middle of Media City in Manchester & sold 5 
ice~creams!….. the upside was I met James Martin again & the lovely Rachel Allen ‘ Always look on the bright side of life’
There was one particular event I was looking forward to & it was a big journey for Florence! we drove all the way to Milton Keynes to serve ice~cream at Kings Of Leon ~ An experience I will never forget ~ standing in the middle of the bowl 
before the masses arrived! WoW!
We moved on to Shrewsbury Food Festival a very local event for us & it didn’t disappoint! the sun shone & the crowds gathered to listen to fabulous music & eat great food……
The next event we were super excited to be involved with as it was very local & we would be surrounded by our favourite things!!! VW’s of course! CamperJam at Weston Park for us was a whole new experience, we had never served ice~creams from 9am until 11.30pm!! blimey we worked really hard!
There was no time to rest on our laurels as the rest of July was fun filled with trips to Dubdayz Summerfest in Nottingham & back down to Gloucester Quays for their food festival ~ Florence bless her cotton socks really worked well & didn’t miss a beat ~ we got everywhere without a hitch…
August was the month of love! A flurry of weddings at some of the most beautiful venues. By the start of September I was feeling liked I had scooped a huge amount of ice~cream, we were on the final stretch visiting Nantwich Food Festival Midland Game & Country Fair & Ludlow Food Festival ~ It was here I really realised how much my life had changed, I felt like I was a part of a big family…….. but that’s a whole other blog 🙂 I can’t emphasise enough how many truly lovely people I have met this year ~ Thank~you all for being so great!
I forgot to mention! Florence made a TV appearance on The Jewellery Channel ~ Another wonderful experience I shall remember for a long time to come ~ Here she is in her full glory 🙂 oh & I even managed to get roped in!
All in all 2014 has been so much more than we ever expected beyond what I ever thought Polly’s Vintage Ice Cream Parlour would become ~ Florence is our passion & somehow we have managed to live the life we love…..
